Known as being one of the most beautiful beaches in the state of Oregon, this quiet, charming, and laid-back little town is a much-loved stop along the Pacific Highway. Now you just need to find yourself a gem of a place to stay, so from cute and intimate boutique inns to modern and trendy, here are my favorite cool and unique hotels in Cannon Beach, Oregon…
Inn at Cannon Beach
One of my favorite places to stay is this gorgeous, garden-based Cannon Beach hotel. I love that they offer complimentary passes to state-of-the-art fitness and yoga facilities. While visiting this wonderful establishment, I learned that it was the creation of two community-driven men determined to make their dream a reality.
Their dream was to build a peaceful community home to nurture incoming visitors’ sense of replenishment and discovery, providing them with a luscious environment. Their design exudes a warm sense of Northwest hospitality and a celebration of nature.
While staying at this delightful Cannon Beach hotel, I found that the majority of the rooms are arranged around a shared central courtyard and naturalized pond. It’s such a serene spot where guests like me come to share our stories with like-minded travelers. I often enjoyed reading a novel in a quaint spot under a tree or spending an afternoon sun-lazing in Adirondack chairs in the company of cute bunnies.

While staying at The Ocean Lodge, I couldn’t help but admire the sloping rooflines and surrounding verandas, which hinted at a 1940s-era beach resort. The grand, rough-hewn Douglas fir wood beams, the two-story wood-burning fireplace, and the hand-blown glass chandelier in the breakfast room added to the whimsical charm of this hotel.
I tried out their oceanfront studio rooms, partial view studios, pet-friendly studios, and suites, and each one exceeded my expectations. They all came stocked with a wet bar, a gas fireplace, a complimentary DVD library, and a walk-in shower. And let’s not forget, select rooms even had Jacuzzis and offered awe-inspiring views of the shoreline’s sunset.

My journey began with the revival of a local B&B, which has now blossomed into four unique hotels that have garnered an impressive array of accolades.
