Sardinia, the second largest island in Italy, is a beautiful and idyllic Mediterranean paradise famed for its picturesque coastal towns, dazzling beaches, sparkling sea and unspoiled rugged landscapes.
Shaped by millennia of tectonic activity, the island’s unique geomorphology has harboured a rich biodiversity. This has resulted in a diverse range of habitats, from lush Mediterranean maquis to arid granite mountains.
A tumultuous history has shaped Sardinia’s culture, and its inhabitants are incredibly proud of their heritage. This is reflected in the island’s many traditional festivals, cuisine, and music.
