This historic hotel in a picturesque corner of the lagoon has been home to many artists over the years, Matisse and Picasso have both exhibited here, to name a couple!
Located in the historical core of Venice, All’Angelo Art Hotel is adjacent to major sights like as St. Mark’s Basilica, Rialto Bridge, Grand Canal displays, and San Teodoro and Zattere.
After a big renovation, the hotel remains loyal to its 1920s artistic roots whilst offering a luxury stay to guests. Rooms are a cosy blend of woods and soft fabrics whilst communal areas explode in Venetian stripes.
The All’Angelo Hotel’s large rooms are traditionally designed and equipped with a satellite flat-screen TV and air conditioning. Some apartments include wood-beamed ceilings and views of the canal or Venetian Street. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the facility.
A breakfast buffet is given daily, including handmade cakes and pastries. The hotel’s Hell’s Kitchen wine bar serves roughly 70 different types of high-quality wines with traditional Venetian nibbles known as Cicchetti. A private landing for water taxis is also available at the hotel. A gorgeous and thoroughly Venetian place to stay!

Hotel Palazzo Barbarigo Sul Canal Grande
This award-winning hotel on the Grande Canal is everything you could wish for from a stay in Venice. Located directly on the Grand Canal in the heart of San Polo, one of Venice’s oldest and busiest neighborhoods, Hotel Palazzo Barbarigo Sul Canal Grande is convenient to be able to stroll to many different shops, restaurants, and landmarks.
The hotel features 18 rooms and suites. The beds are four-posters with slim curving dark wood posts that match the furniture legs. The cloth on the oval headboards replicates the wallpaper, and the lampshades feature crimson feather borders. Although some rooms have wood flooring, most feature black marble floors and red velvet chairs with tassel skirts. Only the suites enjoy Grand Canal views, and those on the second level are especially beautiful (and are less bothered by the noises of boat engines).
Regular accommodations feature somewhat less picturesque views of the little Rio San Polo. Rooms are acceptable, if not enormous, with enough space around the bed and ample storage space, although even the most opulent suites are just larger rooms. All have minibars, safes, and smart flat-screen televisions. Most bathrooms feature black marble flooring, while others have stylish stone floors and walls. All include bidets and showers but no tubs. Hairdryers, robes, and slippers are provided as standard.
Despite its opulence, this hotel only provides a few facilities. Because there is no restaurant on-site, visitors must leave the hotel to get meals (or eat bar snacks) – not a problem in Venice, but maybe an annoyance. The breakfast area contains black velvet seats, crushed red velvet drapes, and crimson tassels dangling from the ceiling.
The complimentary breakfast is plentiful, with lots of meats, cheeses, fruits, pastries, cakes, and coffee and tea, and there’s no cutoff time so visitors may sleep in. The second-floor bar is dark and quiet, with a fireplace for cold nights and a Grand Canal patio ideal for a sunset cocktail. A modest library off the foyer has a variety of literature and the original 16th-century palazzo’s ceiling beams. Laundry service is offered for a charge, and there is free WI-FI throughout the facility.
Pros
Stunning art-deco interior design
Beautiful rooms with minibars
Lavish breakfast buffet
Patio overlook Grand Canal
Cons
