With beautiful light displays and frosted trees, winter is a magical time in Portland and Oregon and one of the best things to do is to dust off those states and find the nearest rink. There are also plenty of options for skating all-year-round too. Here are some of the best indoor and outdoor ice skating rinks in or near Portland, Oregon (in no particular order)…
1. Lloyd Center Ice Rink – an ice rink located in the mall’s atrium, which hosts public and advanced sessions, with year-round lessons
Lloyd Center has been hosting ice rink fun for people of all ages since 1960. The Lloyd ice rink is an indoor rink that is open all year. However, it is most festive during the holiday season, when it is decorated with an exquisite Christmas tree.
It is mainly intended for traditional skaters, but professional skaters often train here. Skaters can skate for hours at a reasonable price, then buy or eat anything they want at the Lloyd Center Mall.
If you reside in or near Portland, you should go skating or watch others skate. It’s amusing to watch folks struggle when skating.
