About Us

Global Grasshopper is an award-winning blog and travel resource for independent travelers. Run by Becky and her team of self-confessed travel snobs together they travel the world and unravel the secrets of the world’s most unique, under-the-radar, and beautiful places.

We are a team of travel writers who travel all over the world and review and write about all the places we have loved and would personally recommend.

All hotels we write about are handpicked, personally reviewed, and recommended and we pick the most unique hotels, bed and breakfasts, and guest houses to suit all budgets and we also think you would love too! We also have two professional Travel Planners on our team who have a solid background in the travel industry and can book a bespoke trip for you!

We are all genuine travelers who all started traveling at a young age and have continually traveled our whole lives. We have a combined traveling experience that spans many decades so you can definitely trust us!

What people say about us…

“Our client was extremely happy with the work that Becky and her team did for the project, so much so that the video has been shared throughout the company. The work was original, beautiful and extremely impressive, we’d love to work with Global Grasshoppers again in the future.”  (Dana Leigh Account Executive at Kaper PR talking about the work produced for her client Vauxhall)

“Becky and her team videographer Gary were an absolute pleasure to work with. Having worked with many bloggers whilst being in PR, Becky definitely stands out as one of the most professional and easy to work with. A breath of fresh air. Our client was delighted with the content which I will add went above and beyond. Breathtaking video, images and a thorough write-up. I hope to work with Global Grasshopper again in the future – a total pleasure” Georgiana Oddy (Account Executive at Manc Frank)

“It was an absolute pleasure working with Global Grasshopper on this exciting Morocco Tourism partnership. This was creative collaboration at it’s best where industry specialists, such as illustrators and influencers, came together to create awareness around the destination and inspire travel. As one of our expert travellers, Gary Nunn from the GlobalGrasshopper team captured the fantastical essence of Morocco, transforming his experience into beautiful, unique content.” Katerina Thomas (Creative partnerships manager at Expedia)

“Becky and her team are extremely pleasant and professional to work with and the quality of the writing and photography they produce shows they are at the top of their game. They are easily one of the best blogs in travel and always offer excellent ROI” Lynsey Devon (Owner and Founder of Heaven Publicity)

“A true professional, Becky and her team really know how to capture the reader’s imagination with engaging insight into the destination accompanied with beautiful photography. Covering unique angles and producing exceptional social media and articles on campaigns, she is always a pleasure to work with and I cannot recommend her enough!” Emily Wilson (Senior Account Manager at Grifco PR)

As an agency, we work with many bloggers but you are the first in a long time to have shown that level of professionalism. Your branding is lovely, your website inspires and you seem like a professional and skilled bunch of happy folk! Sheila Manzano (Director of ThreelittlebirdsPR)

“Lee Hubbard from the Global Grasshopper team was one of our 24 international bloggers who worked with us on our Stayokay Utrecht – Centrum launch event campaign. It was a real pleasure to work with Lee, he is a very professional blogger who was able to pinpoint exactly our focus points in both his social media posts and online article. The pictures were perfectly chosen and he delivered an excellent ‘inside story’ of his experience in Utrecht.” Kim Querfurth (PR and communication manager at Stayokay Netherlands)

I have to tell you I really never write online or respond to bloggers but I have to tell you thanks for all the great travel info on your site. We are planning a trip to Iceland with friends and your list of hotels was just perfect. I just signed up for your emails for more travel inspiration. Very nice. (Sallie McLaughlin, a reader)

I‘ve been thinking about travelling back to Asia and was debating Japan vs Vietnam. Your write-up on the Vietnam islands has sold me! (Andy Hampton, a reader)

My friend and I just returned from our two-week vacation to Scotland and Ireland for our 40th birthdays. I used your blog as a guide to booking our hotels. We stayed at the Tigerlily and Radisson Collection Royal Mile in Edinburgh, and at the Morgan Hotel in Dublin. We loved all these places! Just wanted to say thank you and let you know you have a wonderful blog. (Cindy J, reader)
