Design hotels, culture and cuisine are definitely a few words that get us excited here at Global Grasshopper so when we found out about Le Méridien’s new series of videos in the rather lovely titled “Éclair Diaries” we were eager to find out more. The luxury, design-focused hotel brand Le Méridien is creating a series of eight videos in a campaign which aims to align itself with the culture and cuisine surrounding each of its properties. In the videos you’ll discover signature eclairs at Le Meridien destinations around the world.
The videos follow the charismatic award-winning pastry chef and avid motorcyclist Johnny Iuzzini as he visits local farmers’ markets, coffee shops, distilleries and bakeries in each of the destinations, searching for the local taste that is then folded into the pastry. The series aim to “unlock the destination for the hotel guests through culinary creations.” Quite a charming concept! Guests can stop by the hotel to sample the eclairs, download the recipes or simply just watch the videos.
This is the second video in the series which is based in Cote d’Azur which follows the first which was based in San Francisco. Other destinations will include Budapest, Vienna, London and Marrakech so make sure you catch up with the rest of them!
