Though they are separate states with unique identities, both North and South Carolina share some gorgeous attributes for their throngs of yearly visitors. Majestic mountains, lush forests and serene beaches dot the map in both of these classic Mid-Atlantic States. The hospitality of both is also equally legendary, with a common Carolina license plate saying it all – ‘Beautiful Places and Smiling Faces’. The Carolinas form a beautiful section of the United States, offering natural beauty and renowned vacation destinations, as well as a hint of southern charm. Here are some of my favourite locations to visit in the Carolinas…
Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
This scenic and gorgeous island is located in Beutfort County, South Carolina. Named as one of the ‘Top 10 islands in the United States of America’ by Conde Nast Traveler, the island consists of 250 restaurants and 24 golf courses.
Kiawah Island, South Carolina
The motto of this island is, “The Happiest Seaside Town in America.” With 10 miles of beaches and a number of villas for rent alongside top-of-the-line golf courses, Kiawah Island is a relished gem of South Carolina tourism.
Asheville, North Carolina
After exploring South Carolina, charter a private jet to Asheville, North Carolina. This city is located in Buncombe County, NC and is the largest city in western North Carolina. The mountain city of Asheville boasts of more than 30 art galleries, an exquisite culinary scene and a thriving music scene. A perfect destination for trekkers, adventurers, kids, culture vultures and music lovers, Asheville has something for all its visitors to enjoy.
Pinehurst, North Carolina
Pinehurst is a village situated in Moore County, NC. The most famous and legendary aspect of this North Carolina mainstay is Pinehurst Golf Resort. A perfect family weekend for enthusiastic golfers, the Pinehurst Golf Resort also offers many non-golf pastimes like a sprawling fitness center, kids club, shopping mall, lawn sports and many other activities.
