I’ve always been a huge fan of Osaka — it’s a stylish, creative city with an incredible range of places to stay! From quirky boutique hideaways to sleek modern high-rises, these are the hotels that made my many trips here extra special…
1. Henn na Hotel
The Henn na Hotel stood out because it was run almost entirely by robots — I was even checked in by a talking animatronic dinosaur! Inside, the décor mixed charcoal walls, stone-look tiles, koi floor projections, and violet LED strips, giving it a fun, futuristic feel in the stylish Shinsaibashi/Nishi district.
My compact Billiken Concept Room featured cute Billiken illustrations, an anime bedspread, voice-controlled lighting, a smart mirror, and even a cute blinking robot butler with sightseeing tips! There was no restaurant, but I enjoyed fluffy tamagoyaki for breakfast and grabbed strawberry Pocky from the vending machines. Staff told me there were also other versions in Tokyo, Kyoto and Seoul!
