The Fontaine is one of my favorite places. The elegant décor, with soothing tones, creates an air of refinement that I love. The stylish picture combines Renaissance-style artwork, hand-blown chandeliers, and polished marble floors.
While staying at The Fontaine, I was welcomed by rooms adorned in warm woods and gentle charcoals, creating a restful ambiance that I truly enjoyed. The selection of event spaces added to the charm, catering for all occasions.
I experienced the rooftop bar and lounge, where fresh, seasonal food is served all year round. It’s where you can sip cocktails by the pool in warmer weather or get cozy inside magical igloos in winter. Situated in the heart of Country Club Plaza, a premier retail center in Kansas City, staying at The Fontaine put me in a prime position to explore the city. The location added to the overall experience, making my visit truly memorable.

Crossroads Hotel became one of my favorite places in the heart of the vibrant Kansas City art district. The artistic charm is everywhere – from the local art showcased to the artist-in-residence program. I loved the exposed brickwork and the captivating light features in every corner. The bedrooms were a luxurious and chilled-out retreat, making my stay comfortable.
Exploring the culinary scene at Crossroads Hotel was a delight. While visiting, I tried the woodfired pizza in the lobby – a delicious choice that added to the hip atmosphere. The hotel restaurant offered a modern twist on traditional Italian classics, providing a culinary experience that matched the creativity found throughout the hotel.

One of my favourite places is the Hotel Kansas City near the historic Union Station. I love this Gothic Revival-style gem; its exterior sparks high expectations, and the interior truly lives up to them.
While visiting, the lobby and bar welcomed me with impressive arches and super-high ceilings, creating a grand and spacious atmosphere to unwind. I experienced the beauty of three stunning ballrooms, two adorned with colourful stained glass and the third flooded with natural light – perfect for elevating any event.
While staying at this classic haven, the primarily white bedrooms provided a freshly laundered feel, ensuring a good night’s rest. The experience continued at the hotel’s restaurant, The Town Co., where I tried handcrafted cocktails and enjoyed seasonally-rotated, local dishes. It’s a spot hugely popular with visitors like me.

Being in the heart of the lively Kansas downtown, The Loews is one of my favorite places. The new connector bridge leading straight to the Kansas City Convention Center makes it perfect for business or pleasure.

I experienced further relaxation during my stay at the luxury spa, indoor saltwater pool, and fitness center. It added an extra layer of comfort to my time there. Bar Stilwell became my go-to spot, offering local, classic dishes elevated to restaurant fare. The custom cocktails and craft beers added a special touch to my evenings. Outdoors, the trendy Housefather Social was ideal for special events and celebrations. It added a vibrant and social aspect to my stay at The Loews.

I love this place that blends Kansas City hipster style with European chic. The Westport entertainment district location is perfect, close to Legoland, the Uptown Theater, and vibrant restaurants. THE WONDER
One of my favorite places, The Wonder, offers hip loft living at its best. Exposed brick, plumbing, and mysterious artwork set the relaxed vibe. High ceilings, chic decor, and ample space make it a fantastic 4-star haven near museums, Union Station, and the Convention Center.
While visiting, I loved the well-designed rooms equipped with kitchens, excellent
linens, and laundry machines. Streaming services and tall windows brought in beautiful natural light. The genuine loft look was complete with bold touches like plaid throws and velvet seating.
While staying at this fantastic place, I tried the bar/pizza joint, enjoyed pinball games, and relaxed on two patios. The fitness room onsite was a bonus for wellness enthusiasts. The combination of comfort and a great location made my experience at The Wonder unforgettable.

I discovered vintage charm and elegance at the Main Street Inn in Parkville. It quickly became one of my favorite places, just a short drive from Union Station Kansas City and the international airport.
While visiting, the historic 1885 building amazed me. It’s set up to preserve the best elements of the old while adding all modern comforts. The three suites, furnished in period or quirky styles, captured my heart. Air conditioning, TVs, and garden views enhanced the experience. Some suites even boast private patios or balconies, and a couple has a marvelous jacuzzi right next to the living area.
While staying at this enchanting inn, I loved enjoying the outdoors in the garden, on the patio, or from the wraparound porch equipped with rockers and wicker seating. The shared kitchen added a touch of home, and the highlight was the 3-course home-cooked breakfast with fresh bread included in the fees.
The location in Parkville turned out to be incredibly convenient for exploring the area’s hip restaurants and embarking on exciting hiking trips. This hidden gem seamlessly blends history with modern comforts, making it a delightful retreat for any traveler.
My favorite was the vintage charm and opulent Jacuzzi suites, topped by the delightful gourmet breakfast and serene private patios.

American Inn is one of my favorite places, minutes north of downtown Kansas City. The rustic-style lobby warmly welcomed me, urging me to sink into its big leather chairs by the central fireplace.
During my stay, the warmer months allowed me to relish the outdoor seating and take a refreshing dip in the pool. For my dining experience, the down-to-earth Spirits Bar and Restaurant offered classic American dishes straight from the grill. To top it off, the presidential hall, capable of hosting 150 people, set the perfect stage for special events. I love this place for its family-owned charm and inviting atmosphere.
This budget-friendly stay impressed me with its rustic-style lobby, tranquil outdoor pool, and classic American dining at Spirits Bar and Restaurant.
