Becky Moore – Owner, writer and photographer
My first true adventure began as a six month voyage around South East Asia as a fresh faced backpacker and ever since I’ve lived a semi nomadic existence, clocking up visits to over 40 countries. I’m a lover of US Road Trips, deserted beaches bathed in warm glow of a sunset, Cuban mojitos, travel destinations far away from the tourist crowds and all things Scandinavian – from cloudberry liquors to Nordic noirs. When not wandering the world and running Global Grasshopper, you’ll find me walking my ex Athens street dog in leafy South West London, strolling around the Brighton Lanes on random day trips, hunting for photogenic landscapes or daydreaming about my favourite places; Havana, Copenhagen, Italy, Borneo, Finland, Greece, Berlin, Laos, California and the surreal and beautiful landscapes of a wintry Iceland.
I’ve been quoted in Forbes, National Geographic, The Times, Yahoo Travel, Huffington Post, Business Insider, Thrillist, British Airways Magazine, Entrepreneur, express.co.uk, Wanderlust, Telegraph Travel, Daily Mail and metro.co.uk. Find me on Linkedin or Facebook.
Unbelievable! Really some of the best hotels to stay in LV. I am totally speechless and can’t express it in words. They are really some of the best hotels I have ever seen in my life. Stratosphere Hotel – for the thrill seekers, Aliante Casino + Hotel – for glitz, fun and pampering, The Luxor – Egyptian magic, these are the hotels I like the most. Others are also the best and just marvellous!
I so love the Venetian Resort. It seems that you don’t need to go to Italy in person and experience it there. It is such a brilliant idea that they made it and it is perfect place for romantic couple. Looking forward to be there.
The “kitsch capital of the World” has a bunch of weird hotels, indeed. The Luxor is the weirdest to me.
My 17 year old son plays basketball, and would be over moon if he could spend a night in that room. We are planning to take a family trip to Vegas, and that just might be the room!
the Kuxe and the venice looks super cool. These hotels amaze me!
Definitely interested in staying at those boutique hotels! I never knew those existed in Vegas! Thanks for sharing.
Happy travels 🙂
Thanks Lauren, yes Vegas can be surprising!
I’d have to go for The Hardwood Suite. I’m not even a basketball fan but just for the novelty.
I went to Vegas when I was a kid but stayed at a Holiday Inn which wasn’t quite as exciting.
Thanks Adam, you’ll have to go back one day and stay in one of the crazy hotels, they’re definitely an experience! 🙂
I love the buffet at the Bellagio and The Venetian is actually my dream hotel. NY, NY also makes for a great stay – it’s amazing how closely they replicated the streets of NYC in that hotel!
Yes amazing attention to detail, no expense spared! 🙂
I’ve only been to Las Vegas once and have to agree that the hotels are quite a sight.
I stayed in The Luxor and it is a truly unique hotel and a great experience.
I’m amazed at the variation in the prices you’ve quoted. However it is good to see that some are very cheap again. Of course the money is not made from hotel room hires 😉
Oh wow the hotels in Vegas look incredible, I’ve never been but if I do I’ll definitely be staying at one of these! Great list!
Thanks Emma it was a lot of fun choosing them!
As a sports fan I would have to opt for the Hardwood suites! 😉
… and probably most expensive. The Luxor looks great. How much would be for a single room, do you know :)?
Hey Agness, I’ve added the prices on now 🙂 You’d be surprised, if you go during the week the prices for some of these hotels can be very reasonable.
I used to travel to Vegas every other weekend when my (ex) wife lived there working for the airlines. We had a ton of fun but wowee has it changed, Becky! If I get down there again I would love to go to the Nobu Restaurant. And the Hardwood Suite? Yes, please! I’m a basketball fan so I would drive a date nuts playing hoops in the bedroom. I think that came out right? Ha, ha 🙂
Ha ha thanks Mike, that suite looks like a lot of fun 🙂
