Top 15 cool and unusual hotels in Rome 2021

I have been lucky enough to travel to numerous beautiful locations in my life so far but none of them can ever quite match up to Rome, which is, in my opinion, the most vibrant, beautiful and exquisitely cultural city in the world. It has everything; layers of history, amazing nightlife, heavenly cuisine, sunshine, sea and some of the quirkiest folks I have had the pleasure of spending time with. It is not surprising then that the unique character of this ancient city extends to its hotels. From my few years living in Rome and my many trips back since I’ve been able to scope out some of the coolest and most unique places to stay in this truly extraordinary city (in no particular order)…

Spagna Royal Suite – stylish and quirky

The 4-star exceptionally rated and centrally located The Spagna Royal Suite (a 7-minute walk from the Trevi Fountain) is high-end luxury boutique through and through, with each space designed for ultimate relaxation and comfort. Fifteen Keys Hotel – bright and beautiful boutique hotel

She toured Italian Schools with a children's theatre troop, lived as an au-pair in both Rome and Washington DC, explored the British countryside, worked her way through much of Europe, Salsa'd in Cuba and road tripped down America's west coast where she discovered her spiritual home; Portland, Oregon.
