Located on Capitol Highway, Yalla is one of the best-rated restaurants in southwest Portland. The restaurant offers up some really unique options that you cannot find anywhere else in the city.
The menu at Yalla consists of everything from salads to mains and even cocktails. Their Turkish Carrot and radicchio salads are worth a try. Moreover, they also make some great Seared King Salmon, Fried Chicken, Braised Beef Past, House Smoke Pastrami, Smoked Beef Short Rib, and Bulgarian Lamb & Beef Kebab. Yalla also offers a kid’s menu that will be sure to satisfy your young ones.
Open all days of the week from 4 to 9 pm, Yalla offers dine-in, takeaway, and delivery.

2. Otto & Anita’s Schnitzelhaus – a family-run gem serving old-school German dishes
A Bavarian restaurant, which can be found on Canby Street, Otto & Anita’s Schnitzelhaus, is a great place to enjoy some European cuisines that you will not find anywhere else.
Along with a huge range of options to choose from, the restaurant also offers some amazing desserts that will leave you craving for more. Miso Butter Tonkotsu Ramen, Chicken Katsu Curry, Ebi Fry Katsu Curry, Chicken Katsu, and Salmon Teriyaki Donburi are some of their best offerings. They also offer some great fruit beers for those looking to try them.

Egg and Meat Pie, Carnivore, Island Life, and Pesto are some of their spring pizzas. You can also get vegan options if you want. Furthermore, their kale caesar and spring greens salads are also worth a try. Tastebud also offers amazing Wood Fire Baked Bagels and Sandwiches.
The restaurant only operates four days a week from Wednesday to Saturday.

10. Kuang’s Kitchen – a classic lineup of Chinese stir-fries, noodles and some Sichuan dishes in Southwest
The only Chinese restaurant on this list, Kuang’s Kitchen is also located on Capitol Highway.
The restaurant is famous for its Mu Shu Dish, which is a specialty that is not available elsewhere. Furthermore, there are beef and chicken options like General Tso’s chicken, Orange Chicken, together with Kung Pao, and Szechuan Garlic Chicken with Bell Peppers and Onions. Beef with broccoli, String Bean Beef, and Curry Beef are some of the many beef dishes you can get at Kuang’s Kitchen.
Kuang’s Kitchen stays open throughout the week except for Mondays from 11 am to 9 pm.
